On December 5, 2019, The Boys & Girls Club of West Springfield received a gift in the amount of $5,000 from Alden Medical, allowing them to purchase new Chromebooks and install S.T.E.A.M. software. This technology is designed to help youngsters have direct access to the tools and materials needed to pursue adult life and post-secondary education. | |||
Every year, the employees of Alden Medical decided to help make Christmas a little more merry for local children. The whole team gathered up a variety of games, bicycles, dolls, and toys and donated them to Toys For Tots. There's still time for everyone else out there to help put some extra smiles on kids' faces this year! | |||
In October, Alden Medical was honored to receive the 2016 Community Partnership Award from The Boys And Girls Club of West Springfield in recognition of its continuous efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of youth and families throughout our community. In furtherance of this Community Partnership, Alden Medical donated an additional $10,000 to the club.

The fundraising efforts of the West Springfield Partnership for Education recently surpassed a total of $5000. In September of 2016, Alden Medical helped celebrate this wonderful milestone by presenting them with a matching donation of another $5000.

The employees of Alden Medical went above and beyond the call of Christmas duty in December. They donated an abundance of toys, games, dolls, and even a bicycle to Toys For Tots, which was collecting items here in West Springfield. Thanks to their efforts, some extra smiles were shared by many area youngsters! | |||
The broad scope of the Alden Cares program even extends overseas! Last year, a variety of valuable supplies, including underwear, school uniforms, and backpacks, were donated to Escuela El Cajuil Macao. This school, located in an impoverished section of the Dominican Republic, provides essential educational services to a wide range of students, from pre-primary children all the way up to adults receiving remedial reading courses. The enthusiasm and gratitude expressed by the teachers and students truly made this a life-changing experience. | |||
The West Springfield Partnership for Education recently qualified for an Alden Cares grant. The partnership was awarded $5,000 to enhance the education for students in West Springfield schools. They were also challenged to raise $10,000 to receive an additional $10,000 from Alden Medical as part of the donation.
